WHAT WE MAKE
WE GIVE A PERFECT AND RELIABLE FINISH TO YOUR ALUMINUM - FOR USE AROUND THE WORLD .
The term anodising refers to the anodic oxidation of aluminum. This utilises an electrochemical process to produce an extremely dense and hard oxide surface layer, which provides excellent protection against mechanical abrasion and weathering. The metallic characteristics of the aluminum are retained. During this process the surfaces can be colored as desired or required.
At Piesslinger we place emphasis on continuity and quality.

HOW WE WORK
THE AFFECT OF ELECTRICAL CURRENT AND CHEMISTRY.
The aluminum first undergoes a degreasing operation. Depending on the desired surface, this can be followed by chemical processing. This allows gloss, or matt effects to be achieved. The actual anodising is done in dip baths with dilute sulfuric acid, which is constantly cooled to 18 to 20 degrees C. During this process, a DC current is applied with a voltage of 17 to 20 volts. After anodising, the surface can be colored in dye baths.
Finally, it is sealed in a sealing bath. The layer thickness depends on the duration of the anodising process.
LARGE ANODISING PLANTS
The largest anodising lines in Austria are located at Piesslinger! Depending on the desired finish, the processing options go up to:
Length in meters
Height in mm
Depth in mm
Through various types of pretreatment, Piesslinger is able to decoratively enhance the anodised surface. Pretreatment is in part defined in the standards ÖNORM C 2531 and DIN 17611:
A0 = E0 = No pretreatment
A1 = E1 = Honed
A2 = E2 = Brushed
A3 = E3 = Polished
A4 = E4 = Ground and brushed
A5 = E5 = Ground and polished
A6 = E6 = Special etching (matt)
A7 = E7 = Chemically polished
WHAT DISTINGUISHES US
20 YEARS WARRANTY ON ANODISING.
After 40 years of experience in outdoor weathering at Piesslinger, we can offer you a product warranty of up to 20 years for our range of quality-assured anodising services.
Based on our own in-house outdoor weathering test stand, we are able to guarantee the highest quality with certainty.
In addition to the variety of options for decorative enhancement by various types of pretreatment, anodising has excellent properties for coloring. The metallic characteristics and structure of the pretreatment are also thereby retained.
Can be combined with all types of mechanical and chemical
pretreatment: from matt or ground, to polished or bead blasted, right up
to high gloss.
